Some Bible passages in Visual Liturgy have verse numbers. What if you do not want to include these?
The appearance of the verse numbers is determined by the stylesheet. We include  a stylesheet that removes both the verse numbers and the wide margin. To apply it, open a service that has Bible readings. Then go to the Service menu in the top bar and select Service Properties. On the left, select Styles. Drop down the styles for the Detail view and select NoWideNoVerse.css. Click OK.
Now the verse numbers will disappear. If you copy the text or choose Open in Word Processor they will be removed – provided you copy the formatted text (this is the default). If you copy plain text they will still be present.
If you want to keep your existing stylesheet but remove the verse numbers, you can modify it. The default stylesheet for Common Worship services is called vlHTML.css. From the Edit menu in the top bar choose Styles. This opens the Style Editor. Drop down the Style name box and choose .vlversenumber. Then drop down the Display box and choose none. Click Save to save the stylesheet. Then click Close to close the Style dialog.
This would prevent verse numbers from showing in all services that use this stylesheet. If you would rather keep the existing stylesheet as it is, you can use Save As in the Style Editor to create a new one with your customisation. Then you will need to select this for services for which you want to use it, in the Service Properties dialog as described above.
